Eastern Group established ETtoday on November 1, 2011. ETtoday integrates a news website with cloud technology concepts, and became Taiwan's first news page on social media. In 2018, we officially became the news website with the highest revenue generated from digital news. ETtoday is the most innovative and influential news media platform in the Chinese world.

With the concept of "sharing is happiness; loving cloud technology", ETtoday adopts several new operational approaches, including focusing on social media interaction; prioritizing public opinion; telling stories through video; maintaining both brevity and depth; multifaceted innovation; and maintaining a leading position in technology research and development. ETtoday has spent many years establishing a strong follower base on social media platforms. The Leading New Media Cloud Brand for the Chinese World

In addition to providing services to a huge set of Taiwanese readers, ETtoday also started launching Southeast Asian, Hong Kong, Macao, New Zealand, Australian, and North American versions in March 2017. We have become an important source of information for overseas Chinese people!

In 2018, ETtoday saw a growth rate of more than 2 digits in advertising revenue, average daily traffic, daily active users, and number of followers. We also started managing Taipei MRT advertisements in October 2018, bridging into the offline market. At the same time, ETtoday has benefited from increased revenue generated from videos as well as gradual growth in online-offline advertisement integration. In November, ETtoday's total revenue exceeded NT$100 million for the first time, officially becoming the digital news company with the highest revenue in Taiwan.

On February 11, 2019, ETtoday was renamed ETtoday Co., Ltd., and four subsidiary companies were established: ETtoday Co., Ltd.; ETtoday Star Co., Ltd.; ETesports Co., Ltd.; and ETtoday Pet Co., Ltd. This made clear that, in addition to news, video, and advertising, Eastern has a strong intention to build a multi-industry, O2O foundation including the pet, entertainment, and e-sports industries.

Jungle Voice was made possible by bringing together the talents of Jam Hsiao and Yoga Lin for the first time. After it aired, the show received waves of positive response and reached new levels of market popularity. ETtoday Star Co., Ltd. will continue to focus on developing entertainment media and performing arts to expand into a total entertainment company, and build a leading entertainment brand for the Chinese world.

In the future, ETesports Co., Ltd. will host and report on major e-sport competitions and events, as well as provide e-sport video content. We will also build an e-sport social media platform, on which interaction and discussion among followers and members will generate conversation and user-created content. This will elevate ETesports' market status.

ET Pet Co., Ltd. will make good use of ETtoday Pets' established support base of over 1.6 million followers, and focus on the development of the pet industry. The company's retail stores are already offering a wide variety of services. In the future, the company will continue to integrate e-commerce, media, fan groups and social media management, all of which ETtoday Pets is well versed in. Through online-offline integration, the company will build a comprehensive pet business ecosystem to provide pet owners and their pets with services that are even more professional and complete.

In terms of video production and development, ETtoday is responding to video trends by actively developing news videos and video content, including creation of the BOBA video platform. In addition to actively collaborating with TV channels, internet video platforms, well-known celebrities, and popular internet celebrities, ETtoday also produces our own videos, web series, up-to-the-minute news videos, social media videos, and more.
