Eckare Elite 300 Summit Visits Hualien, Painted Rice Fields Help Boost Tourism in Remote Areas

Eastern Commerce Company (Eckare) launched a four-day, three-night local trip in Taiwan to reward the top-performing distributors. In the spirit of “others are about business, Eastern is about public welfare”, President Gary Wang of Eastern Group led 300 elite distributors to the Ceroh Tribal Community in Yuli, Hualien, yesterday (8/31) to experience tribal culture first-hand and enjoy a traditional Indigenous meal. Well-known show host Jacky Wu also joined the party and witnessed the rice fields covered in “footprints of hope” together with the distributors, while Gary Wang also encouraged everyone to take part in public welfare service through tourism and help boost tourism for the remote villages.

For the past 20 years, Eastern has been caring for the children and disadvantaged groups in remote areas. Through the long-term sponsorship program of “Breakfasts Made of Love” by the Eastern Charity Foundation for the children in remote areas, Gary Wang has been to Hualien several times before, visiting Hong Ye Primary School and Gu Feng Elementary School to have breakfast with the children. Therefore, he feels a special affinity for Hualien. Today, he has brought 300 distributors to Hualien on an incentive tour, also using this opportunity engage in public welfare at the same time.

Eastern Group’s President Wang further expressed his hope to inspire people to make public welfare a lifelong goal and spread love and care together. President Wang further explained that in Hualien, a piece of local land 400.2 square meters in size that is used for growing rice can only bring in a little over NT$80,000 in income. But if Eastern’s ecKare partners come to visit this area, it can bring in nearly a million dollars in revenue to the tribal community through Eastern’s painted rice field initiative and in-depth tours. This can substantially help local tourism and create job opportunities in remote areas. The tribal chief also said that he would allocate 10% of the income to pension and education funds for the elderly and children in the rural areas, so that the benefits of tourism go to everyone in the community. This tour event was not only about traveling and sharing, but also about doing public welfare, which makes it even more meaningful.

The footprint rice field of the Ceroh Tribal Community is one of Hualien’s famous scenic attractions, symbolizing practicality, vitality, and hope for the future. To welcome the arrival of the ecKare partners, the Indigenous people of the Ceroh Tribal Community performed traditional harvest celebration songs and dances, while the tribal chief presented a special “Lover’s Bag” to Gary Wang and Jacky Wu as a token of gratitude and love from the community. They wanted to thank ecKare for its support of local tourism and helping the community with their economy.

The previous evening, ecKare also held the Elite Summit Banquet with the theme “Dazzling Eastern, Moments of Glory” for top-performing distributors. The theme was inspired by the Oscars and the event opened with all the razzle-dazzle as expected. The 300 distributors were all dressed to the nines, and President Gary Wang of the Eastern Group presented the awards to the winners in person. At the banquet, a pledging ceremony was also held for the new business model, “Eastern Store Portal”, together with the crown distributors, encouraging everyone to continue to work hard in the second half of the year to reach new heights in their business.

Gary Wang said during the banquet that due to the pandemic, Hualien was chosen as the destination of the incentive tour. With the global inflation bringing about drastic changes in life, although the economy is still not looking optimistic, we have no right to be pessimistic and must only work harder. The largest driving force behind Eastern Group is the 21 year-old ETMall. With NT$28 billion in revenue, 11 million members, and more than 800,000 products last year, the company has become a trusted brand for every family through its 2,500 employees who provide service online 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In fact, the well-known online platforms in Taiwan and abroad have been hard hit hard by the pandemic over the past two years, but only Taiwan’s ETMall made NT$1.8 billion last year, NT$1 billion in the first half of this year, and is working towards the goal of NT$2 billion this year. The EPS of ETMall reached NT$17.74 last year and NT$8.5 in the first half of this year, leading the industry. These figures demonstrate the ability of the company to run a business. Not only did the company and its shareholders make money, the employees also received bonuses, and these achievements have also been shared with the distributors.

At the banquet, the newly promoted crown distributors and the many distributors who have performed well were also commended. Gary Wang is happy to see more and more people accumulating passive income through ecKare, especially now that global inflation has made it difficult to increase normal income. Through the passive income of Eastern, not only the distributors alone make money, but also the people around them, which makes it a good cause that helps people and makes everyone happy.

President Wang further pointed out: the number of products of traditional distributors is very small, but the most important aspect in a person’s life is to eat and have fun. Food alone accounts for about 35% of a person’s lifetime expenses. Therefore, through the Eastern Store Portal, ecKare will bring together the tasty food and delicious products from all over Taiwan in the future, allowing consumers to earn points and discounts when they recommend or share with their friends these channels to the food products. He is certain this is going to be an excellent business model.

Eckare entered the top 10 in Taiwan’s direct marketing industry with NT$3 billion in 2021, and also performed well in 2022. A luxury incentive travel tour was specially organized, focusing on good food, accommodation and fun. President Gary Wang hosted the entire event and took the top distributors to stay at the five-star Grand Cosmos Resort Ruisui for four days and three nights. In addition to the previous day’s in-depth tour of the Ceroh Tribal Community, the Elite Banquet was also held in the evening for the distributors to create the most beautiful memories with their families and teams after all their hard work!
